How do I get a BMW ID?
To create a new BMW ID, select Register on the login page of the My BMW App or the My BMW portal. Enter your login data and personal details and save your input by clicking on Register now. The BMW ID can be used in the vehicle to store and activate personal vehicle settings in a driver profile. The vehicle can store seven BMW IDs. If a vehicle is used by several people, each person can use their own BMW ID in the vehicle.After deletion, you can no longer use your BMW ID to log in to the My BMW App, to all BMW Group web pages and to all vehicles connected to your BMW ID. All personal data and settings stored for your BMW ID will be deleted.Why do I have to log in to the BMW Motorrad Connected app again with my BMW ID after a while? If you have not used the BMW Motorrad Connected app for 30 days, you will be automatically logged out of your BMW ID for data protection reasons.
Is BMW ID free?

Most new BMWs are fully compatible with the ConnectedDrive software and it’s entirely free to register in the ConnectedDrive store. Is my BMW ID my email?
Please note that only one ID is required for both BMW and the email address used is also your username. If you prefer not to use the My BMW app, these steps can also be followed via our BMW website. Activate your BMW ID: You’ll receive an email with a link to activate your account. Link your vehicle using My BMW App: Follow the in-app instructions to add your vehicle using the My BMW App, which may involve entering your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).In the event of a disabled BMW ID, first check the e-mail address and password for your BMW ID. For security reasons, the BMW ID is temporarily blocked when the password has been entered incorrectly several times.Log in with your BMW ID (e-mail address) and password or select Log in with My BMW App and scan the displayed QR code. The personal data and settings of your BMW ID are loaded. If you have linked your vehicle key to your BMW ID, your personal data and settings are automatically loaded when unlocking the vehicle.
Do I need a BMW ID to use the app?
If you’ve previously registered with the BMW Connected App, the ConnectedDrive website, or the My BMW website, you can simply login with the BMW ID used on these accounts. If you’ve never used these applications, then you’ll need to register for an account on the My BMW App with a valid email address. Simply allow up to two additional users to add your BMW to their BMW ID. A second or third BMW ID can be added to the same vehicle, with the same steps. After typing in the VIN any additional user is asked to be added as a Secondary User or the new Primary User.
