What year of Mercedes to stay away from?
Most years of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class performed decently on the road, so even the worst years aren’t as bad as much of the competition. If we had to advise some years to avoid, we’d recommend refraining from the 1994, 2001, 2013, and 2014 selections. Their performance was less than ideal. What are the worst Mercedes-Benz G-Class years? Mercedes-Benz fans and shops that specialized in G-Wagens tend to cite the earliest U. S. That would include the 2002 to 2008 G500 and the early AMG G55 models, built into 2011.These G-Class models are also generally very reliable, and classic G-Wagen fans consider the late W463-Series G500 from 1999-2000 to be the most reliable version of the luxury model. These are great classics, like the modern G-Wagens they’re expensive to buy and run.
Are 1990s Mercedes reliable?
Its style has aged so, so well, and most versions have a reputation for being relatively reliable by Mercedes standards. Sure, mid-1990s models used biodegradable wiring that needs to be replaced, some plastic bits don’t hold up well, and maintenance can be more cumbersome here than in, say, a Jeep CJ-7. As far as I know, old Mercedes are over-engineered, where the durability of the car is sometimes very high and the car can last up to a million miles without any significant problems, possibly because the German manufacturers at the time were in a phase to prove their engineering prowess to the world.
