What is the next movie in the LCU?
The first film in the universe was Kaithi (2019), followed by Vikram (2022) and Leo (2023). It is set to continue with Benz, the first LCU film not to be directed by Lokesh, and Kaithi 2. Lokesh announced a new action thriller film titled Benz, starring Raghava Lawrence and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan on 14 April 2024.Benz, part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s LCU alongside Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo, stars Raghava Lawrence and now features Ravi Mohan in a dual-hero role. Lokesh personally narrated the screenplay to Ravi, designing his character with several mass moments.Kaithi is the first installment of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which is followed up in Vikram, with Narain reprising his role as Bejoy while George Maryan reprises his role as Napoleon in Leo. A sequel titled Kaithi 2 is in development.
