Coles will permanently retire the Vintage Cellars and First Choice Liquor Market chains after a successful four-month trial of rolling out the Liquorland brand to other parts of its alcohol retailing business.

TUI Group has confirmed it is to phase out the Thomson and First Choice holiday brands as it seeks to bring its operational names under one roof. The leisure and tourism giant said the reorganisation follows the merger of its UK and German entities last year. Thomson parent TUI is merging its tour operations with First Choice to create Europe’s largest tour operator. The deal follows Thomas Cook merging with MyTravel and will result in consolidation of Europe’s mainstream tour operating businesses from four to two.

Stores are currently being gradually rebranded to Liquorland Warehouse. First Choice Liquor stores are set to change to Liquorland stores. Not only do the stores have a new look they also boast a new and improved layout. More than 600 stores have been rebranded in the transformation so far.
