Is Delano rebranded to W?
The Strip hotel on the Mandalay Bay casino-resort site formerly known as the Delano is now the W Las Vegas, a non-gaming property jointly operated by MGM Resorts International and Marriott International Inc. The official rebranding took place last week. W Las Vegas originally opened in December 2003, as THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. It was renamed Delano in 2014, and became part of the W Hotels brand in 2024. Like the Mandalay Bay tower, W is also 43 stories.The Delano has officially been rebranded into the W Las Vegas. This move marks another chapter of the apparent MGM and Marriott Partnership and the transition was pretty seamless. A lot of the elements of the Delano property already fit the W brand.The Delano held its grand opening ceremonies in September 2014. The hotel includes an Alain Ducasse restaurant called Rivea and a lounge called Skyfall, both located at the top of the hotel. The hotel was rebranded again as W Las Vegas on December 18, 2024.The tower now known as w las vegas began in 2003 as thehotel at mandalay bay, a sleek, non-gaming all- suite retreat. In 2014, it was rebranded as delano las vegas, embracing a chic, south beach-inspired vibe with upscale dining and desert-toned design.
