Is BrightDrop owned by GM?
The Chevrolet BrightDrop, formerly the BrightDrop Zevo, is a battery electric delivery van produced by General Motors (GM). It was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show on January 12, 2021, under the BrightDrop brand, with production beginning in December 2022. The Chevrolet BrightDrop is engineered to work hard for your operation. Built on GM’s Battery Platform, the 2025 Chevrolet BrightDrop 600 boasts a combined available GM-estimated range of 272 miles, handles heavy loads and emits zero tailpipe emissions.
Where is BrightDrop manufactured?
GM produces BrightDrop 400 and BrightDrop 600 vans at CAMI Assembly, Canada’s — and GM’s — first full-scale all-electric vehicle manufacturing plant, which required massive investment to retool for EV production, including funding support from both governments. The introduction of BrightDrop’s electric vans into the FedEx fleet in Canada is an important step in the company’s goal to transform its entire parcel pickup and delivery (PUD) fleet to all-electric, zero-tailpipe emissions vehicles by 2040.
