For vehicles equipped with Personal eSIM, BMW does not charge any additional or recurring costs for Personal eSIM hardware in the vehicle. However, additional costs may be charged to your mobile plan by your mobile provider when adding your Personal eSIM to your mobile plan. The Personal eSIM integrates your BMW into your existing mobile communications contract and qualifies your vehicle for the 5G mobile radio standard. You can use it to make calls in the vehicle without your smartphone and to stream data via the Wi-Fi hotspot.
Can I update BMW software myself?
