The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (R107) was produced from 1985 to 1989. It was part of the R107 series of roadsters. The R107 was meant to replace the W113 (Pagoda) SL. The R107 was the longest single series ever produced by Mercedes-Benz, besides the G-Class. In total about 237,000 copies were made. The R107 replaced the W113 (Pagoda) in 1971 and was succeeded by the W126C in 1981 for the coupé models (SLC) and the R129 in 1989 for the convertible models (SL). I drove the 350SLC and the 500SLC.
