What is the official BMW app?
In the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, you will find the following BMW apps for your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch: the My BMW App, the BMW Driver’s Guide app, and the Advanced Car Eye 3. BMW ConnectedDrive is a digital platform that allows for an extensive portfolio of features, while the My BMW App is a smartphone app that allows access to some of those remote features, like vehicle locater, remote engine start, and BMW Digital Key.Tap the BMW ID menu and select Add BMW ID. With your smartphone, scan the QR code on the display. After your profile has loaded, toggle the Vehicle Key to link the key to your profile. Select “finish” to complete the setup and add your BMW ID to the car.By using a BMW ID in your vehicle with BMW Operating System 7 or newer, you unlock full functionality and customization of your vehicle. When setting up a BMW ID, you can link BMW ID to your physical or digital vehicle key and benefit from it when entering your BMW.With the BMW Digital Key and BMW Digital Key Plus, you can have all your compatible vehicle keys on your smartphone, fully secured by the industry standard Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) Digital Key.If you have forgotten the password for your BMW ID, you can request for a new password via the Forgot Password? What is my BMW ID?
Your BMW ID is your central login for offers relating to the BMW brand, the use of personalised services from BMW Group and digital services from BMW ConnectedDrive. The personal data and settings for your BMW ID are stored in the BMW Cloud and synchronised in your BMW, the My BMW App and in My BMW portal. If you have forgotten the password for your BMW ID, request a new password for your BMW ID via the Forgot Password link on the login page of the My BMW App or My BMW portal. You will then receive an e-mail and must create a new password for your BMW ID within four hours.To create a new BMW ID, select Register on the login page of the My BMW App or the My BMW portal. Enter your login data and personal details and save your input by clicking on Register now. To complete your registration, you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link.Your BMW does require an internet plan from BMW, you can register the first time you set up your phone. To get started go to the Mobile devices menu in your BMW.For security reasons, the BMW ID is temporarily blocked when the password has been entered incorrectly several times. Request a new password for your BMW ID via the Forgot password link on the login page of the My BMW App or the My BMW portal.
