Can you eat and drink during theatre shows?
Eat and use the restrooms before the show, after the show or during intermission, and please be sure to note and follow your theatre’s specific rules about areas you can eat and drink. Most theatres will not allow any outside food or drink, so please plan to eat prior to or after your show. Can I take food and drink into the theatre? We are unable to allow food & drink purchased outside of the Theatre to be consumed on the premises.Sealed bottles of water will be allowed. If necessary, please inform us of any special dietary requirements before your visit or speak to the Theatre Management on arrival at the theatre. Do your venues operate security checks?There is no limit to how many refreshments you can purchase at the theatre. There are no restrictions on what you can eat and drink in the auditorium. However, there are some foods which you should avoid. If possible, avoid eating smelly foods which will waft around the auditorium.
Why are snacks not allowed in theater?
From a safety standpoint, one can bring in alcohol or explosives in the name of beverages or food. So, there are many reasons why we support this rule. I wouldn’t mind spending on food and beverage as long as I feel I’ve got my money’s worth. Items like carry bags eatables, helmets, and handbags are not allowed inside the theaters are strictly prohibited.
Can you go to the toilet during a theatre performance?
Go to the toilet BEFORE the show starts We know that queues for the toilet in a theatre can be as long as the Nile, but getting up during the performance to empty your bladder is not acceptable, it’s distracting to those around you and often to those on stage. Try to arrive at the theatre at least 15 minutes before the show so that you can go to the toilet, get a drink, be in your seat in good time and relax.
