Is Delano a nice hotel?
Created as a hotel-within-a-hotel concept inside the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, the Delano stands on its own. In my opinion, it’s the one of the best non-casino hotels in Las Vegas. We’ve been to Las Vegas many, many (many) times, and stayed in quite a few hotels on and off the strip over the years. New name. New partners. New experience. The Strip hotel on the Mandalay Bay casino-resort site formerly known as the Delano is now the W Las Vegas, a non-gaming property jointly operated by MGM Resorts International and Marriott International Inc.The Delano is non-gaming, but it’s just a quick walk down the hallway to the Mandalay Bay’s loud, 135,000-square-foot casino, one of the largest on the Strip.The Delano is a 43-story 1,117-room tower that opened in 2003 to serve the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. It was called THEhotel at Mandalay Bay until December 2014 as part of a rebranding to the Delano with MGM’s partnership with the Morgans Hotel Group.Who can use the pool? The Delano Beach Club is located off the larger Mandalay Bay Beach area. Guests of the Delano also get access to the Mandalay Bay Beach area.
