Does the Mercedes CLA have folding rear seats?
When you adjust a seat, you may trap yourself or a vehicle occupant. When adjusting a seat, make sure that no one has any body parts in the sweep of the seat. The rear bench seat, rear seat and seat backrest may fold forwards, even while the vehicle is in motion. Depending on the vehicle, you may have a button or manual lever inside the cabin that can pop the trunk, possibly even inside the glovebox. Look for a pull-up lever on the floor to the left of the driver’s seat. Some vehicles also have hidden trunk-release latches behind the seats, or in the doors or armrests.A metal rod or cable connects the trunk latch actuator to the trunk’s key cylinder. If the trunk refuses to open using the key, then either the trunk lock cylinder or the metal rod could be the issue. An unresponsive trunk lock actuator can also be caused by a faulty trunk lock relay.Pull the lever and fold the seat forward. Grab the top of the seat with your other hand, and pull the seatback forward. Depending on the size of your car and the size of your body, you may need to fold both seatbacks forward to provide access to the trunk.
